What sort of mechanism does MoM use to queue/cache data on the agent if hte
network is down or the management server otherwise not available? Thanks.

Alerts and other agent data is stored in the temporary cache located at
\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft Operations
Manager\<management group name>\. The size of this cache is set in Agent
Settings on the management server. If the cache fills up, the oldest data in
the cache is overwritten until such time as the management server comes back
online and the agent can send its data.
